Sally primarily focuses on corporate and capital market law, particularly with issues pertaining to contracts, due diligence of commercial transactions and Financial Regulatory Authority relation regulations and compliance. This is in addition to her acquired experience in labor law.
Prior to joining Rizkana & Partners, Sally had two internships in Cairo and one internship in Beirut at top-tier law firms where she worked on a variety of contracts including; lease, transfer of property, employment, exploitation of intellectual property rights, and agency for producing entertainment material. This is in addition to preparing legal research and drafting responses for legal cases in Cairo, and to getting a brief exposure on handling legal procedures in Beirut.
Having a double major in Law and Commerce, Sally has professional experience with NGOs working on the application of ethical business & fair-trade laws and regulations in farms and some manufacturing industries. Moreover, to content creation for the marketing and communication department in one of the largest travel industry companies in the Middle East.
Representative Experience:
- Sally has advised local and international clients on various areas of Egyptian law, particularly for clients doing business in Egypt. These areas include real estate, civil law matters, general corporate and commercial matters. She has reviewed and assisted in the incorporation and acquisition of companies operating in different sectors. This is in addition to assisting in drafting and reviewing agreements pertaining to major transactions.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, she got the chance to conduct legal research and draft weekly reports on ministries decrees and decisions taken by the Central Bank of Egypt, the Financial Regulatory Authority and other governmental bodies that may be affecting the Egyptian market and our clients’ business.
- Sally had the opportunity during her internship in Beirut to experience and assist associates in proceedings, hearings, legal procedures handling, commercial and civil matters registration and general litigation matters.
- Before being admitted to the Faculty of Law – University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Sally had a college degree in Commerce – Cairo University, and had worked for several years in the fields of tourism and hospitality which gave her a wide exposure on different sides of the industry in term of structure, operation, contracting and staff management. This gives her an excellent approach towards understanding the nature of the issues she handles on behalf of her clients operating in the sectors of tourism and hospitality.
Education:
- Sally holds a Master’s degree with honours in International & European Business Law, a Maîtrise degree with honours in International Business Law and a Licence degree with honours in Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
- Sally also holds a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Commerce from Cairo University.
- Sally qualified in Egypt in 2018.
