Youssef is a seasoned corporate lawyer with expertise in mergers & acquisitions, competition law, intellectual property, labour law, aviation and NGO. He also has substantial experience in dispute resolution, hospitality, and banking & finance.

Prior to joining the firm, Youssef gained valuable experience at top-tier international law firms and assisting a leading King’s Counsel in the UK on high-profile criminal cases.

Representative Experience:

  • Youssef has successfully advised on antitrust and competition cases exceeding 1.5 billion Egyptian Pounds and has managed complex mergers & acquisitions, including the drafting, amending, and negotiating of multi-jurisdictional agreements. He has also been involved in significant corporate and media-related matters.
  • In addition to his corporate practice, Youssef has handled high-value asset-tracking and recovery cases and has played an active role in arbitration proceedings as both claimant and respondent. He regularly advises on fraud, employment, and competition disputes, supports major e-commerce clients, and represents clients in cyber-crime litigation.

Education:

  • Youssef holds a Master’s Degree in Legal Practice with a specialization in Competition Law from the University of Westminster and an LLB with Honours from the University of East Anglia. Both degrees are recognized by the Supreme Council for Universities in Egypt as equivalent to an Undergraduate and a Master’s Degree.
  • He has completed the Contractual and Legal Aspect Courses of Construction Agreements under FIDIC (CLAC) and the first M&A course under the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and the Habib Al Mulla Academy as well as completing the Mergers and Acquisitions course held by Imperial Business School. Youssef is also pursuing an IATA Diploma through completing the recommended courses and examinations with the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

  • Youssef is currently working towards his UK qualification.
